As the Yatis of this order bathe in the triveNI tIrtha formed by the three great words - tat, tvam and asi, the yogapaTTA here is 'tIrtha'. As they assume turIyAshrama having given up the desire of samsAra, they also assume the yogapaTTa of 'Ashrama'. As these yati-s, out of compassion, ward of dangers even to beings like kIta-s (insects), they belong to the sampradAya of kITavAra. As they are knowers of the true form of the self (swaswarUpa jnAna), abide by the rules of their Ashrama (swadharma paripalana) and sport in the bliss of the self (swAnanda krIDA), they are said to belong to the sect of swarUpa brahmacharya.

As these Yatis reside, having abandoned all desires, in uninhabited forests, they assume the yogapaTTa of 'vana'. Having sacrificed all luxuries of the world, these Yatis live in dense forests, ever immersed in the bliss of the self; hence they assume the yogapaTTa of 'araNya'. As they ward off indulgence in bhoga of their disciples, they are said to belong to the sampradAya of bhogavAra. Having mastered the knowledge of the self, as these Yatis illuminate the disciples with this knowledge (prakAsha), they are said to belong to the sect of prakAsha brahmacharya.

As these Yatis reside on mountains, study gItA shAstra and have a steady mind like a giri, they assume the yogapaTTA of 'giri' and 'parvata'. As they have the gAmbhIrya of a sAgara, and are experts in finding the pearl of Atma Jnana from the ocean of shAstras, they also assume the yogapaTTa of 'sAgara'. As they ward off indulgence of their disciples in laukikAnanda (material pleasures) and lead them to the true bliss of the Brahman (brahmAnanda), they are said to belong to the sampradAya of AnandavAra. Immersed in contemplation on the Self, they radiate with the bliss of Atman and are hence said to belong to the sect of Ananda brahmacharya.

As these Yatis are experts in the practice of Swara or Laya Yoga, are masters of poetry and act as knowledge barriers preventing the ocean of samsAra, they assume the yogapaTTa of 'saraswati'. Carrying the weight of true knowledge (vidyAbhAra), abandoning other associations (sarvabhAra parityAgI), they are unaware of the baggage of misery (duHkhabhAra) and hence assume the yogapaTTA of 'bhAratI'. As they reside in the city of the eternal truth called Paramatman, they also assume the yogapaTTA of 'puri'. As they ward off the indulgence of their disciples in activities aimed at achieving abundance of money or gold (bhUri sauvarNya), they are said to belong to the sampradAya of bhUrivAra. As their minds are free from vikAra-s like happiness, grief etc., and is filled with the chaitanya (conscious spirit) of Brahman, they are said to belong to the sect of chaitanya brahmacharya.
