Vyomashambhu Panchavimshati Namavali

The author of Bhairavārcāpārijāta derives from the Vyōmavyāpīśvara mantra of śāmbhavāmnāya, the following twenty-five names of Lord Mahādēva. It is said that worshiping Shivaliṅga with these names grants one the merit of śatarudrīya as these names represent the essence of Chidvyōma in which all sacred sounds of the śruti reverberate spontaneously. An incomplete version of Chidambara Tantra in our possession derives fifty names from the same mantra (with several names such as Shiva, Anidhana, etc. repeated multiple times). There is also a popular practice of using just the first twelve names from this nāmāvaḷi while offering bilva to Mahādēva. The procedure is to utter ṣuddha praṇava, śuddha prāsāda and parā bīja followed by each of the below nāmas.
